Marketed by the manufactuerers of the tranquilizer - Narcoject - this is a fairly standard
tranquilizer pistol and an easily found non-lethal alternative. Although any chemical can
be loaded into the darts, these pistols are commonly sold with darts loaded with Narcoject.

Flashpak
|
|
A nonlethal LOS weapon, the Flashpak stuns anyone unlucky enough to be looking in their
direction when they go off. The hand units are tied into a set of goggles or shades that
polarize and turn opaque as the trigger is depressed, a microsecond before the flash goes
off, and then return to transparency after the flash has faded. This of course makes it
a bit more difficult to keep track of an opponent, but the narrow angle beam is still
sufficiently wide to stun anyone within 45-degrees of wherever the flashgun is pointed.

Saeder-Krupp has developed the basic FN-FAAL Gyrojet Pistol into an Assault
Rifle varient specifically targeted at zero-G space applications. In zero-G,
the recoiless gyrojet rockets are a low-cost alternative to high-priced,
unreliable laser systems. With a fast-feeding mechanism, solonoid trigger and
electric ignition, the rifle is fully automatic with firing rates as high as
more conventional, bullet firing assault rifles.
Coupled to the 7mm gyro rifle is a 30mm low-pressure grenade launcher. The SK-GAR
comes equipped with an integral smartlink and all electronics are shielded against
radiation. The large scope is equipped with low-light and thermal imaging optics.
The eyepiece is specially designed for use with spacesuit faceplates.

The prefered firearm of the British Special Boat Service, the FN-AAL Gyrojet
pistol reworks an old design for the 2050's with integral smartlinking, and
precision manufactured 6mm gyrojet rocket rounds equipped with explosive impact
heads. As with all gyrojet pistols, it is the quality of the ammunition more
than the gun that determines accuracy of the weapon, and these rounds are
accurate beyond any spin-stabilized rocket round ever produced at this scale.
Gyrojet Pistols use Heavy Pistol ranges when fired underwater and shotgun
ranges when fired above water. Their damage goes up by one level when fired
underwater due to hydrostatic shock from the explosive rounds.

The original MP-Laser. While only a few copies are floating around since Ares discontinued
production of their outdated first comercial laser weapon, the much improved MP Laser III
has brought down the street price on second-hand originals drastically. The weapon is powered
by battery packs stored across the body in an armored vest, and provide enough juice for 20
shots and may be recharged at the rate of 1 shot per hour.

The new MP-Laser IV is a self-contained rifle-type system. Ares has managed to incorporate
the former hip battery packs into a replaceable, rechargeable battery pack that plugs into
the stock of the weapon, counterbalancing the weight of the laser forward of the handgrip.
The MP-Laser IV comes standard with Smartlinking.

Jumping onto the laser bandwagon after all the costly research and testing by Ares, Saeder-Krupp
has released their new Nova Laser Rifle with special liscencing under the Heckler & Koche name.
Unlike the Ares laser/backpack/hippack arrangement, the H&K Nova Laser Rifle has a detachable
battery magazine under the weapon, and the sophisticated electronics and sighting equipment
developed for the H&K OICW rifle.

Perfect for those discrete places that let you carry in a knife but not a gun, the
Barrage packs four times the punch of its predecessors with the ability to fire all
four barrels simultaneously.
A four barrel burst does 8M damage with a -3 penalty from recoil and takes a simple
action to toggle select. The firer suffers a -1 penalty to aim due to the unusual
configuration of the weapon and lack of any sighting devices. The weapon itself is
heavy, and suffers from a -1 penalty use in melee. On a successful hit with the blade,
the barrels can be discharged at point blank range, automatically hitting.

The BladeGun is a semi-automatic heavy pistol with a large crescent shaped knife-blade
attached in front of the trigger guard and grip. Also called the Samurai handgun, it
incorporates styling found on the grips of katanas and Japanese kanji down the side of
the slide and blade.
This pistol can accept only top and barrel mounts, the underbarrel mount taken up by
the blade. The underbarrel weight of the blade gives the gun 1 point of recoil compensation.

As a bonus, I find that the weight of the blade gives the pistol a bit of extra recoil
compensation, like an underbarrel weight.

Around 1900 a gang of Parisian criminals called themselves Apaches after the warlike tribe of
Native American Indians. The gang used specially made pinfire revolvers that had folding blades
and knuckle dusters. There is no barrel on this gun, it must be fired at point blank range. The
blade runs under where the barrel of the gun would be. The knuckle dusters act as a folding grip.
If a wound with the knife inflicts an S wound the gun may be fired as a free action. While using
the brass knuckles (because of the way they must be folded to use them) the gun canot be fired
but the knife may be used. While using the gun and knife the knuckle dusters may not be used,
because they are acting as a grip. Cannot mount any accessories.

The Gun-Sword is a heavy caliber revolver mated to a long mono-broadsword. The weapon makes
an effective, if heavy, one-handed broadsword. As a revolver, it is a little more difficult
to use, with a +1 TN penalty for the weight of the blade and a minimum strength 4 requirement
(an additional -2 TN modifier if below STR 4).

I can't see this being actually useful. Seems more like a toy than an actual weapon to me.

A conventional flamethrower nozzle arrangement connected to backpack tanks.
Tank is Barrier Rating 10, explodes if breached with Damage M, Power 2 x #-of-shots-left,
-1 per half-meter from tanks. Damage from flamethrower is reduced by impact, not ballistic.
For area-sweep attack use Shotgun spread rules (p. 117 SR3) without choke rules. Use rules
from Fire and Incendiaries (P. 98 CC) for secondary fire effects.
