Electrothermically enhanced, the SR3500 looks large and bulky but is in fact
extremely light weight and stable and one of the few sniper rifles with the
ability to fire a 3-round burst. The "bulb" barrel shroud behind the muzzle
contains the Smartlink II. The SR3500 has been produced in
few examples and is very rare on the street. Comes equipped with a
detachable COT scope.
* The SR3500 can fire a 3-round burst as a complex action. When firing through
a barrier, roll for damage to the barrier for each round. If the barrier is
breached, the subsequent rounds punch through and hit the target as if they
were a single round or a short 2-round bursts.

Another in the "UK" series, the HK98UK is the last in the UK branch's successful
line. This is a "light" sniper rifle designed for the same airmobile and other
specialist units that uses the .30-06 caseless round. This is more on the emphasis
on getting the round to the target. This is accomplished through the use of
advanced ceramic construction, and the use of a collapsible stock to make the
weapon small as well. It mounts the autostabilization stock with a shock pad
installed. The handle mounts an Image Magnification-3 scope to achieve accuracy.
This is enhanced through the use of a free floating barrel and mounts a full barrel
silencer.
The gyrostock & shock pads provide 3 points of recoil compensation.

Replacing the PSG54e in active service, the MSG55 is a heavily reworked rifle.
Rechambered for the higher powered 10 x 28mm caseless round, the weapon offers
higher firepower and takedown. It fires the same M250 round as fired by the
M56A2 Smart. The new bullpup frame incorporates
materials from zero-gee and other measures to reduce the weight. The barrel is
free-floating, and incorporates a full barrel suppressor, which allows the weapon
to fire in the burst fire mode, in case of imminent capture.

It has no iron sights, and is fired from the scope handle, which can accept another
accessory and it mounts an Image Magnification-3 scope as standard. The cocking
handle is fully ambidextrous, allowing both left and right hand shooters to fire the
weapon. Ejection of jammed rounds however is accomplished on the right side of the
weapon. A bipod is fitted over the forearm guard, as well as the bottom mounting a
TAG Rail Mount to increase the firepower if needed, and can traverse 10º to the
right and left, allowing the sniper to track a target when the bipod is deployed.
A rangefinder is fitted to increase the accuracy, in conjunction with the Smartlink
II hardware. This allows the firer to also select which mode the M250 ammunition is
in. Whether "Super" against lightly armored or non-armored targets, to "Delay" to
penetrate armored targets. It has a solenoid trigger to assist in long range shots.
It is fully caseless, and the stock is adjustable to accommodate most shooters body,
as well as mounting both shock pads to reduce the recoil of the round, and has an
autostabilization stock as well. It can use both 5 round and 20 round clips.

Steyr SSG-P72
|
The Saeder-Krupp Special Security Group's other sniper rifle, the SSG P72 is also
used by the CAS Delta Force, as well as SEAL Team SIX. The weapon is a bolt action,
silenced weapon. The bolt action itself is a "short stroke", which permits the sniper
to reload the weapon without having to go so far back, thereby distracting the
shooter. The weapon is chambered for .30-06, and is fed by a ten round clip in the
frame.

The frame is made of ceramics, which reduce weight considerably. The folding stock
itself is adjustable, with the butt adjustable as well as an adjustable cheekpad.
This allows better adjustment of the weapon to a specific shooter, and does not suffer
from other users from being hindered by other's adjustment. The barrel is shrouded by
a silencer, and is free floating to increase accuracy. The scope rail mounts a Knopler
Image Magnification-3 scope, and the mount itself can mount other sighting accessories
as well, and the forearm mounts a bipod for additional stability when firing. The
weapon does not mount backup iron sights.

Seekershell Weapon System Round Ammunition:*
Use vehicle missile ranges. Fired from specially modified sniper rifles *or*
specially designed weapons. Fired rom a rifle, it is a cold-gas expelled munition
that goes active 5 meters from the weapon. The munition has an intelligence of 6-10,
using target signature as lockon or laser designation. In designation mode (as per
Smartlink) the seekershell just acts as an improved Ramjet shell, above, adding its
Intelligence to the firing test and negating blind fire penalties. In target
acquisition mode the target number for the test is the signature, which is 4 for
a humanoid in the open, 8 for a human in a crowd, and 10-Body + Stealth successes
versus intelligence of missile + ECM from things like armor (the seekershell has
IR, laser ranging, millimetric, and ultrasound sensors - ECM must be able to fool
all of these to have an effect). The firer rolls Skill + Combat Pool + Intelligence.
The seekershell can also target gun muzzles and firing by targets: use the Perception
modifiers for sight and sound with a base target of 4.

Tactics: Seekershells are used for fire-suppression, sniping, and
counterfire. Fire-suppression includes squeezing off a few towards hostiles
targeting you to suppress them. Long bursts and grenadiers tend to get silenced
quickly. Sniping is obvious.Counterfire is used by rear elements in support of the
point man. Only SWAT and military types get to train with this stuff at all.

Barret M-121
|
The originial heavy anti-material/sniper rifle, the Model 121 uses unique .50 caliber
ammunition. The Model 121 is equipped with both an integral barrel-mounted silencer
and smartgun system. The heavy caliber round gives the Model 121 a +2 recoil modifier
on each shot (including the first). The folding bipod provides 2 points of recoil
compensation. Alternately, the Model 121 can be equipped with a Gas Vent IV on the
barrel - which negates recoil at the cost of concealment, as the muzzle brake kicks up
loose dust, dirt, & snow.
The .50 caliber ammunition for the Barret costs 200 nuyen per box of 10, Availability
14/30 days & Index 5. This ammunition functions as APDS, but not AV.

The MSG67 is another new sniper rifle, designed as a compettitor to the heavier
(in weight) Barret sniper rifle. If the weapon wasn't another exclusive weapon,
it would outstrip both the MSG9000E and the Barret. What makes the weapon better
is the use of ceramics to lighten the weight of an otherwise heavy rifle. Completely
loaded, the MSG67 weighs a light 9.5 kgs compared to the 14 kgs of the Barret.

The weapon still uses the .50 cal round, but is entirely caseless, preventing
a case to be left behind, as well as reducing weight further. A full barrel
silencer is mounted. However, to keep the round from blowing it off, much like the
Seburo M7, the end of the barrel features vents to bleed off
the pressure. While it doesn't completely silence the weapon (+2 instead of +4), it
does ensure the reliability of it. It must be noted that the firer must take care
where he or she fires, as the gas can blow up loose dust or snow. Smartlink II
fitted as standard, and one other advantage over the Barret is the ability to be
taken down without extra cost, allowing SSG snipers to "shoot and scoot". The other
feature is the use of a free floating barrel to improve accuracy dramatically, giving
an edge that so far hasn't been taken.

**Damage: The weapon fires an extremely high speed 15.2mm APFSDS round, which consists of a
5.56mm tungsten dart, designed for armor penetration and fragmentation damage. Due
to its design the ammunition of the rifle is less effective against soft armored
targets, too small and too fast. It goes through the body without significant
slowdown. Against hard targets, vehicles, hardend armor, etc, count it as armor
piercing at 18D, vs soft targets, count it as 16M armor piercing for the resistance
test of the target, but the bullet will go through the target and continue travel
behind it.

a $15,000+ rifle. And it is an intirely good buy. Well worth the money. This barrel is very
accurate, 2 of my freinds and I were on a run (one of the few times I've gotten to use
this rifle on a run) and it was just the 3 of us gainst 10 others. with this barrel I took
out 4 guys while supporting my teammates as they advanced. This barrel is one of the most
ideal Sniper barrels too, of course it doesn't have the range of a Barret (but it rings in
at a good 720 meters consistantly without compensation by aiming up) Also how far do you
have to be to snipe someone? With the Barret, you get distance, but the barrel is so
inaccurate, you have to take 2-3 shots and guide them onto the target.
Here are my rating:
Price: 11/10 very cheap,
Range: 9/10 excellent for price, doesn't compare to a railgun, but not many do.
Accuracy: 12/10 with right ammo, better than a barret or HK.
Durability: 9/10 withstands bangs well, but It has a tendancy to scratch.
Overall: 41/40 this is the real deal, great price, awesome accuracy, nice range. A
good buy for anyone. Buy this rifle and you won't regret it. Remember, buy your ammo wisely.
Evaluate what you want to do with it (if you want to shoot armored, look at APFSDS, want to
cause max damage, go with HE-ex.) I can't empasize this enough. this is a GREAT GREAT GREAT
buy. It really diserves a 15 out of 10.
Conclusion: I love this barrel, it shoots far and accurate. The bullets do curve a bit, up and
down, but it's all good, it helps me get more headshots. Buy this rifle it's awesome! To me,

The Steyr AMR 2060 is specifically classified as an Anti-Material Rifle and it
falls somewhere between an assault cannon and a traditional heavy sniper rifle.
The AMR 2060 fires a solid tungsten fin-stabilized dart with a body diameter of
5.56 mm (.22 inch) clad with a 15.2 mm caliber sabot. As soon as the sabot leaves
the muzzle it is stripped off, leaving the dart to continue its flight unimpeded.
The muzzle velocity is over 1,400 meters per second (4,700 fps...), giving the very
aerodynamic dart a very flat trajectory. At 2000 meters the dart still carries enough
energy to totally penetrate a hardened plate of steel, 40 mm (1.62 inch) thick. These
ballistics that are superior to even the .50 BMG or the 14.5 x 114 bloc rounds.
The rifle itself is operated by the system of long recoil: Basically, the recoil of
the weapon moves the entire barrel/bolt assembly backwards. At the end of the action
the bolt rotates, and the barrel moves forward, while the bolt assembly is held back
by a retainer. When the barrel has traveled fully forward the bolt is released, moves
forward and feeds a new cartridge into the chamber. End of cycle. Another thing is that
the barrel is a smoothbore, since the dart is fin-stabilized. At the end of the barrel
is a Gas Vent IV muzzle brake, which is also essential in dampening recoil. In addition,
the AMR is fitted with a folding bipod above the barrel, a monopod under the stock,
shockpads & a self-customizing gelgrip to further minimize recoil.
The rifle is fed through a flat five round box magazine, which is inserted into the
stock on the right side, opposite the place that the shooters head will normally
occupy. The ejection port is below the magazine, and ejects the empty shells down
to the right of the rifle. The rifle comes chipped for Smartgun II, and a
multi-optics targeting scope that includes Optical Magnification III, Lowlight,
Thermographic, & a laser rangefinder.

The Ultima Ratio Sniper Rifle is a highly advanced rifle used by Section 9. The
weapon features a ceramic frame to reduce weapon weight and other weight reducing
systems. It fires the 7.62mm round, and nominally is issued with Depleted Uranium
rounds (see below), and is fed from a six round clip. It is blowback operated, and
uses a short stroke Bolt Action to rechamber a round. The stock can be adjusted,
allowing the user to fit it to his or her needs, and the free floating barrel mounts
an Improved Gas-Vent I to reduce recoil. It has no iron sights, and has a rangefinder
mounted in the forearm guard. The main feature however, is the "full sensing" scope
that is mounted. Naturally, this incorporates a low-light, and thermographic functions
for any situation, as well as using an Image Magnification-3 system for increased
accuracy at long ranges combined with filters to protect the sniper from sudden
flashes of light. However, special cybernetic awareness systems mounted in the
scope increase the snipers awareness around them, and additionally is COT ready, as
well as the rifle itself, and being Smartlink II equipped. Sales of this rifle are
limited, and very few are made, and the rifle is very expensive as well.
