The weapon uses highly advanced, lightweight materials to
achieve it's fantastic light weight compared to other weapons of it's style,
and is even lighter than the Ares HVAR, which by contrast, is an older design
and can never compare to the J9. The weapon uses a "super-machinegun" action,
and through the use of an electrical trigger, is able to fire twenty rounds
with the felt recoil of ten! The lack of many moving parts makes it very
reliable, and the electrical trigger needs the occasional wipe down. To
compensate for this very heavy recoil, a folding stock mounting heavy shock
pads, as well as an autostabilization stock. The stock itself is collapsible,
and helps keep the size down. However, the weapon's extended barrel that ends
in a Improved Gas-Vent IV makes this difficult to hide. And through the use of
HV ammo, the weapon can reach further and still hit comparable to a standard
assault rifle. Added to this is the venerable Smartlink II hardware built into
the frame.

* Use standard ranges, but add 25% for the extended barrel.
** The use of HV ammo and the extended barrel raise the damage to this.
The weapon mounts an autostabilization stock that offers 1 point of recoil
compensation, as well as a Level 2 Shock Pads providing 2 points. The barrel
mounted Imp. Gas-Vent IV provides 5 points of recoil compensation. "HV" ammo
generally costs 50% more, and adds 1 to the Power, due to the increased
velocities. Due to the electrical impulse operation, the weapon can fire up
to 20 rounds per Complex Action on Full Auto. However, due to the advanced
action, the weapon only would suffer half the recoil on this mode only.
