The Armscor 40mm Multiple Grenade Launcher is made by Armscor of South Africa (not to be
confused with the old Armscor from the Phillipines) and fires 40mm explosive grenades from
a 12-round drum magazine. The weapon, while heavy, can be fired single handed by
cyber-enhanced idividuals, trolls, and even some orks. This has caused the weapon to rapidly
gain cred with booster-gangs.

|
|

The M556 is a light, burst fire capable fire support system designed for small
unit fire support, where a standard mortar would be too cumbersome. With a loaded
weight of 5 kilograms, and only 2 feet long, it is a more portable alternative to
the M-12 in some situations and more economical as well. The weapon comes with a
custom sling allowing comfortable carry of this weapon. The weapon is deployed
using a front bipod that can be automatically adjusted, and a four point baseplate
that folds up for transport.
The frame of the VLMS is made of standard ceramic composites, and using high
strength plastics for most of the construction. The baseplate of the weapon is
segmented into four legs that spring out and provide a stable base for firing.
Mounted near the muzzle is an automatically adjustable front bipod. Using a
micromotor, the bipod can be remotely raised and lowered as needed. This permits
both low angle and high angle firing. Control of the VLMS is through a specially
mounted keypad that has a reel that dispenses a 30m cord to effect remote firing.
The control system is the size of a large calculator, and permits full fire control.
Adjustments such as elevation and depression can be made from this. However, for
adjusting the weapon to fire in a different direction, the baseplate allows the
weapon to be rotated 360º to allow this. However, for best effects, the weapon
should be pointed in the best direction possible.
The computer system mounted has the ability to calculate trajectories, and other
necessary data. Should the adjustment require any direction change, the display
will alert the user to the desired direction necessary. Then the necessary
adjustments can be made. The system also monitors ammunition load, barrel
temperature, etc. This system can be hooked up both to the Battletac FDDM and
the PARGET system if needed. The keypad attaches to the top of the weapon via
hooks, and the inbuilt reel houses the control cord. The electronics of the
weapon are powered by a lithium battery that provides up to 10 hours of
continious use. Additionally, a backup iron sighting attachment that is
standard to all mortars may be used instead. This is detachable, and weighs
0.5 kg. This comes with the M556 when purchased.
The weapon is fed by a nine round clip that fires specialized ammunition
comparable to mini-grenades. The major difference is that the rounds are
longer, and can reach out to 1,000 meters. The clip is mounted on the side
of the weapon, for ease of reloading, such as in a situation where it can be
loaded while in the prone position. All rounds are caseless, and it uses an
electrical firing system to keep the weight and size down. Additionally, this
helps reduce weight allowing more rounds to be carried in a combat environment.
Firing modes of the VLMS is only single shot or burst fire. Due to this high
rate of fire, especially at burst fire, there is a specialized feed system
that carries 30 rounds in a large drum, and has a flexi-feed system to allow
positive feed of the weapon.

** Ammunition for this system uses the standard mini-grenade rules, and when
figuring cost, add 4 to the availability, 4 to the time, and multiply the grenades
cost by 5. Ammunition weight is .15 kg per round, and a full, nine round clip
weights 1.5 kilograms (weight figured into weapon weight).
The weapon mounts on the barrel an Improved Gas-Vent IV, the baseplate offers 2
points of recoil compensation, and use heavy weapon recoil rules. The control
keypad has a barrier rating of 3 and is fully waterproofed. Deploying and breaking
down the weapon requires Four Complex Actions to perform. The weapon has a scatter

Designed for a more efficient approach to both indirect, and direct fire
support, Seburo has offered their M57 "Smart Grenade Launcher". With the
use of the old 40mm grenades, Seburo engineers decided to make the weapon
more effective by making it more "intelligent". What they did was build a
standard M203 configuration grenade launcher, using the latest in ceramic
materials, then add equipment. The heart of the system is the top mounted
COT-capable electro-optical scope image magnification-3 scope, which has
circuits for low-light, as well as thermographic vision. This transmits
data into the firing chamber, which electronically sends to the round.
This also recieves data from the internal Smartlink II, which is backed up
by the Rangefinder Air-Timed Grenade Retrofit, allowing superior accuracy
with standard grenades. The weapon has a folding stock, to allow easy carry
and compactness. Shock pads are mounted to reduce the recoil of this weapon.

Seburo M58
|
An MGL type weapon adapted for the heavier 40mm Grenade, the Seburo M58 is a bullpup,
ceramic framed weapon that is fed from a four round hopper, or clip. The rounds are
loaded like normal rounds, but the hopper is in itself unique. Complementing the
ambidexrous construction of the weapon, with a button forward of the ejection port,
to allow both left- and right-handed firers to use the weapon with the same accuracy.
Since such a hopper would present a slight discomfort to the firer, it has been
constructed with a flat side, so that the user may comfortably position his or her
arm when firing. The other side faces inward, therefore not causing any discomfort
(the picture above shows the weapon configured for a right handed firer). The clip
itself is ambidextrous, allowing the rounds to be inserted in the preferred direction.
There is no capability to mix and match, and select the appropriate type of round
suited for the job. In case the clip does not have what you need, the bolt can be
locked back, and operated like a breech fed weapon. The user simply removes the
clip, locks the bolt to the rear, inserts the desired round, releases the bolt,
chambering the round.
The lead character of the new hit Trid series, "Company Man", Dirk McKenny
now uses the Manex XR77 EPS as his main weapon, shouldn't you?

Vector M-32
|
A rapid firing automatic grenade launcher, Ares M-32 Vector is fairly typical of
modern AGLs. Typically serviced by a two man crew - one carying the weapon and
the other carrying ammunition & tripod, the M-32 uses lightweight polymers and
ceramics extensively throughout its construction to reduce weight. The vector
comes with Ares trademark Smartlink II standard and a collapsable tripod mount
that can easily be removed, allowing the AGL to be attached to a standard vehicle
mount. The Vector uses 25-round belts of grenade ammunition loaded on the right
side of the weapon.

Seburo M59
|
Based off a 20th Century design (EDITORS NOTE: The Swedish/US Striker CG40),
this utilizes the latest in targeting systems as well as a ceramic frame to
make sure that you don't get bogged down by this superb weapon. Like any
machinegun, it is belt fed, with a mount on the left side, which is the only
side it can be fed from, to hold 25-round belted 40mm grenades (an empty can
is provided with purchase of this weapon, extra ones are available). Operation
is by blowback, ensuring that accuracy is maintained. Accuracy for this weapon
is enhanced through the use of the Smartlink II system, coupled with the
Rangefinder Air-Timed Grenade Retrofit, a standard which Seburo lives by.
Suppression of the weapon's recoil is handled by a lightweight tripod that is
easily removable, allowing the M59 to be mounted on other standard mounts, for
increased firepower.

The Saeder-Krupp manufactured Ballista Launcher is a backpack unit that deploys
an over-the-shoulder launch tube. The weapon can be fired directly or indirectly,
with the rounds homing in via laser designator. The Ballista comes equipped with a
laser target designator, but cannot mount other accessories.
The Ballista may only use Ballista munitions. The Mk I is an armor-piercing dumb-fire
rocket, for both direct & indirect fire modes. The Mk II is an armor-piercing ,
semi-smart missile used only for direct fire. The Mk III is an armor-piercing,
laser-tracking missile used ofr direct & indirect fire. The Mk III must be directed by
a laser, microwave or radar designator - chosen when purchasing the munittions. All three
are antivehicular.

The CAS has started to issue to its line troops Manex's new Slasher II surface to air missile. Thus the older, original Slasher missiles have started to show up in the hands of border runners, CAS Border Scouts, and some licensed security users. A few of these are now even finding there way into the hands of smugglers and black market weapons dealers.
The original Slasher is comprised of a launcher and a missile pack. The missile is loaded into the launcher and then fired. The missile has a sophisticated tracking and targeting system and has been quite successful in it's intended role.

HAMMER Anti-Tank Missile
|
The HAMMER launcher has become a standard anti-vehicle missile. Utilizing a
microwave seeking head combined with advanced inflight systems, it has an
accuracy and range needed to deal with most vehicles. The HAMMER launcher
has a Mag 2, Thermo capable sight that allows extreme targeting in many
weather conditions. The Microwave designator is in line with the sight so
what the gunner locks onto the designator paints. Used as both a vehicle
mounted or tripod mounted weapon it can be found in many military and
corporate units.

AT-27 "Spinner"

This is the standard tripod mounted ATGM used by the Russian ground forces.
The missile is designed to engage medium to heavy armor on the battlefield.
It uses a tandem warhead to achieve this mission very well as well as being
a fire and forget weapon, with the gunner firing, then setting up to another
position and re-firing. The missile has a millimeter wave radar for both
flight and terminal homing. The missile can be set for two modes, either
"Direct" or "Indirect". Direct mode is a normal flight profile for an
anti-tank missile. "Indirect" is used when CIWS systems are present on the
battlefield. The normal flight path is used, then the missile pops up and
attacks the top armor of the target. This gives a +1 modifier to any CIWS
attempting to engage this missile.

Tiger
|
The BGM-300 Tiger ATGM is a mobile, if not effective anti-armor missile. Designed
for heavier vehicles, the BGM-300 features a tandem warhead, dual seeking missile
with top attack capability. It is fired from a tripod launcher that mounts the
launcher assembly, and the sensor system. The launcher assembly has a rear port
for inserting the missiles in the rear. Each missile is sealed inside a combined
transport/launcher tube. This allows rapid field reloading in the field.
The missile itself has a smokeless launcher, and can be fired from indoor spaces,
only needing a 1m area to fire. The missile can home both on laser and radar
designators.
The missile itself has a range of only 7 kilometers, and has thrust
vectoring for high engagement potential. It is also a fire and forget missile,
which is only available in the radar designation mode. Mounted in the nose cone
is a millimeter-wave radar, and when launched, the radar provides terminal homing
for the missile. It also provides homing for the laser guided mode as well. The
firer simply has to cue the missile to the target, launch the missile, and then
reload and aim at another target. And the sensor system mounts both, with a
thermographic sight with a non-glare coating to prevent the sunlight from causing
glare, allowing the firer to be found. Below the sensor housing are two hand rests,
with the right one having the firing trigger. This is designed to put less wear on
the soldier, who will hit better when more relaxed.
The system can be broken down into three parts, the launcher assembly, and the
tripod. All have specialized carrying gear that comes with the launcher, allowing
it to be man-packable. It can also be mounted on a standard pintle mount through
the use of an adapter assembly in the bottom of the tripod housing. The tripod
legs can be removed, and fired from a pintle mount.
