The primary source for her equipment and jobs, this enterprising Cat Adept doesn't seem bothered by her ghoulish nature. On the contrary he appears intrigued and fascinated by her exotic nature.

Spinx (Coroner/Cyberdoc, Level 2 Contact)
People joke that Spinx likes his dead bodies more than live human beings, but not to his face. The 2 meter tall lone-star coroner is a mute but intimidating individual nonetheless. Nobody knows how he got his job, but rumors circulate that someone up high owed their life to him and the job is partial compensation. Spinx works with the worst corpses without any qualms, and everyone else leaves him to it. As a result, nobody at the coroners knows about his night job as a street doc and organ & cyberlegging associations with Tamanous. While Ravenous isn't a member of Tamanous, Spinx took a liking to her early on and seems willing to implant both cyber and bio when paid the cred, as well as providing her with a supply of fresh metahuman flesh.

BACKGROUND

Sasia Samaris was a Persian elf who fled to Tibet with her parents - fleeing one of the many waves of anti-metahuman sentiment in the middle east as conservative ayatolla's rose to power in Iran. She lost her parents traveling in Tibet, but was taken in by Chinese Buddist monks who took the young elf with them back to their monastary. The monks taught her meditation techniques, Buddism, and Kung Fu. During her adolescence she awakened, and her innate adept powers blossomed increasing her speed and strength. But as she grew older, her elvish beauty became more and more of a distraction, eventually causing an incident that forced her to leave the monastary. (16 years old, 2053)

Wandering China, she eventually joined a band of youths who raided corporate and government compounds for food, medicine, supplies and items that they could barter with villagers. They were a nuisance to the authorities, but not quite enough for a serious response to be mounted.

Captured, they were shipped off with other chinese as forced labor, imported to Hong Kong by the Yakuza. The Yakuza implanted a simple radio device with a small amount of explosive into the necks of each of them. The boys were sent off to mines and the girls were taken to bunraku parlors. (2056)

Right from the start, Sasia was trouble. She was tall, exotic, elfin, & beautiful, but with her monastic martial arts background and adept powers she was also quite capable of defending herself against anything non lethal. The guards took to drugging her food, and when she stopped eating, they took to shooting her with tranquilizing darts. A weak extract of belladonna was used to make her quiet and compliant, but they couldn't keep her drugged forever.

She suffered the abuse for over a year, learning everything she could of the places she was kept. One of her frequent visitors was Wang Tsching-wan, the head of a powerful Yakuza family. One day when her head was clearer than usual she made her move. Feigning illness, she jumped the mamasan that came to tend to her and the guards that accompanied her and made her way down into the basement and out through a old sewage pipe into the sewars of Hong Kong.

Feverish and shaking, she managed to squirm her way into a cargo container, only to find it packed full of chinese being shipped to California as cheap labor. She lay shaking on the floor of the container as the changes overtook her and the people did the best they could to ease her suffering.

They were not one day out to sea, when the yakuza crew opened up the container to see what fun they could have with its occupants. They were just in time, for Sasia's hunger for flesh was almost at the limits of her control. Her head and hands swathed in rags, the yakuza opening the container saw only her beautiful body tied up on the floor of the container, a wide circle of chinese pressed as far back from her as they could get in the container. Grinning, he called to the other crew to see her, as he turned her over, and his crude joking was the last thing he ever said.

Sasia clamped down on his throat, piercing his vocal cords. All his companions saw was a girl with her face buried in his neck as his body twitched violently and they moved closer, still joking and laughing and oblivious to the fear on the faces of the chinese in the container.

By the time the container ship arrived in San Francisco harbor, there were no more yakuza on board. Sasia was smart, keeping many alive right up until that point, feeding on their flesh one by one. She knew what she was, the Tibetan monks had fed their dead to ghouls while she was there and had taught her that ghouls were a part of nature and not to be reviled. They had cautioned her that outsiders would not understand...and would fear and try to kill them.

Once she saw the harbor, she jumped into the water and swam to shore, dissappearing into the shadows to hunt down and prey upon the Yakuza and any who exploited the weak and helpless.
