Volkswagon Urbano
A heavily modified transport built out of mainly VW Brullen parts and outwardly resembling a VW Brullen, The VW Brullen is Volkswagon's basic model in the Urbano series. Brullens are easily obtainable, and easily modified, making them favorites among runners and riggers.

Blaster's hidden surprise are retracted legs, arms and a sensor turret "head" and the ability to assume a bipedal Anthroform mode. The diesel engine is contained in a large turreted waist structure to which the myomer legs are also connected. Twin driveshafts articulate through these legs to power the rear drive wheels which are located above the heel in bipedal mode.

Blaster is actually a dumb remote drone body controlled by a "Master" unit plugged into an equipment bay. The Master unit hardware includes a remote control deck and master radio communications unit, radio scanner & jammer all tied into its onboard power supply for boosted signal. The Master/Blaster has adopted its military code-name designation of "Soundwave".

Yamatetsu Sparq
The diminuative 1-foot tall anthroform Sparq by Yamatetsu is a personal assistant drone designed to link into the matrix via a home telecom system and act as a miniature secretary. The Sparq pilot program is quite intelligent, featuring fuzzy logic algorithms and the ability to run matrix knowbots to locate information and assist in office work. Its graceful feminine lines have made it a runaway success in Japan. Based on its recent debut in Seattle, it is expected to take North America by storm as well.

Shadowfox Shadowfox

A high-speed, medium size walker drone, the Shadow Fox is very fast and agile, and one of the most capable walkers of its size. The Fox's greatest asset, however, is its stealth systems. The drone is equipped with numerous sensor baffles, Electronic Countermeasures and sophisticated Electronic Deception that makes it almost undetectable by most sensors.

The Shadow Fox's main ranged weapon is a light machinegun mounted on a flexible turret on its back. The machinegun has a very broad arc of fire, allowing the Fox to attack enemies at almost any angle, and the weapon mount is modular enabling the Fox to upgrade its weaponry up to light Autocannon.

Zoic Androids is a major branch of Zoic International, a multinational megacorporation specializing in neural research, cybernetics, brainware, simsense entertainment, and drone manufacture. Zoic is known to conduct a vast amount of research on paranimals with an eye towards cyberpred security, but has yet to bring any successful cybered paranimals to the market.

Corporations are efficient, and they recognized Rigg's boredom as a sign that his classes weren't challenging enough, and moved him into the advanced classes with kids of similar intelligence to him. Kids being kids, the other bratpacks tended to bully the smart-kid classes, and the smarter kids weren't as moved by corporate propaganda as the bratpacks were. Things came to a head his last year of school, and in a fight with a bratpack of younger kids, one threw a can that hit Riggs in the head. With his delicate and small build, the can shattered his eye socket and destroyed his eye. Vikky charged in to defend him, while Roger pulled him out of there, frantically stabbing at the panic-button on his wrist. Corporate security got there fast, broke up the fight, and the brat pack evaporated, but not before they beat Vikki within an inch of death right in front of Rigg's remaining eye.

He was whisked to surgery, got his eye replaced, and money given to his family to placate them. He was guaranteed a spot wherever he wanted to placate him. The Corp issued Vikki went into intensive care, but the damage done was too serious. She would never be brilliant or beautiful or outspoken again. Brain damage was the one thing the corp couldn't repair, and without a purpose, there was little incentive for the corp to shell out money for her. Platitudes were spoken and her family got money to take care of her, which they did for awhile, but there was pressure to let her go, shuttle her off, terminate her. Eventually her family caved and placed her into corp medical, whom hooked her up to a respirator, fed her intravenously, and kept her drugged and unconscious.

Riggs was done. Once the surgery was completed and he had use of his VCR, he contacted the other kids from his old class. They too were shaken but had been given money, cyberware, gifts to placate them and seduce them. Riggs invited them to try and get positions in his new department, working on new drones for the corporation. He spoke of his idea to defect, to escape. Most were willing to join his department, but urged him to reconsider. Things would get better, it was just an accident. For a time, Riggs listened to them but remained unconvinced. And the smart children found that their new bosses were the same kids that had killed Vikky and smashed Rigg's face in. They looked at the now grown kids and still saw victims.

Riggs spent time planning. When Roger was sacked and sent to work in the sewage plant, he spoke to the others. It was only a matter of time he urged before they were also used up, fell behind, shoved aside like Roger. Riggs contacted Roger and laid his plans. He and five other techs from the lab activated several drones and got out. Riggs got Arcology Service Tunnel blueprints from Roger. He considered contacting outside help, but he was sure that the Corp would find out and be on him quickly, so he waited and told the others to be ready to go at a moments notice. They agreed on a code that Riggs would send to their phones.

CONTACTS: Friends & Associates

Vikki - Dependent
Vikki's brain damage prevents her from interacting with the world normally, and makes things confusing for her at times, almost like autism. It makes her difficult to care for at times, and medication to keep her calm isn't cheap.

Roger Daltree - Level 1, Degree 2 (Buddy)
Roger's a mechanical guts type of guy, but a genius at making metal perform far outside anyone else's expectations, and keeping machinery running. He was demoted and kicked down to the Arcology basement to manage the sewage and water filtrations systems, so he knows a fair bit about the service tunnels that make up the guts of the Renraku Arcology.

Jed (Dwarf Technician) Level 1, Degree 2
Jed is the man when it comes down to actually building the nitty gritty little things inside of Electronics. He can build an operational motherbord with his eyes closed, and hes done it. He originaly met Riggs in a meeting for Zoic, and wanted to get to know the little man. He got a transfer to the Zoic Androids Devision to work with Riggs and his crew. He is in charge of putting together all the little bits and pieces that goes on in their Drones. He taught Riggs some basics on how the "brain" of the drones work with the other parts.

"Doc" Kidgy (Drone Designer) Level 3, Degree 1
Old friend of Rigg's father, he helped Riggs come up with the original designs for Rumble, Rabble, Shrapnel, & Buzzsaw and the Design and parts for Shadowfox. He keeps in contact with Rigg's father who helps him (very limitedly) with parts or equipment that can only be found only through Zoic head office. He spends most of his time comming up with new drone designs and helping Vikky and Fingers with programming "inspiration". In his off time you can find him in random places by himself "looking for more inspiration" is what he would say if you asked what he was doing as he paints away. Kidgy often is found as Roger's Co-pilot at the Drone Warz arena, he is not as interested in participating but more for the show, and new design ideas for drones.

Flicker (Decker/Programmer) Level 0, Degree 0
Flicker is your stereotypical matrix addict, spends more of his time awake online than anywhere else. He taught Riggs and Vikky in learning the basics of the Pilot Programming language, but turned a blind eye to their predicament when Zoic wrote off Vikky as a liability and acceptable loss. When it comes down to programming, there are few who are as good as Flicker, and even fewer at Pilot Programming. Since his break with Zoic, he's become even more mercenary, and rarely does anything without getting paid.

Bud (Club Owner/Fixer) Level 2, Degree 0
Owner of several clubs including the Drone Warz Arena (Orc) Nobody really knows his real name, and if they did, they certainly dont want to share it. He knows his people and knows them well. If you need something he is the one to call. He knows who to call with whatever your problem is (for a price of course). He deals with Roger most of the time, even has an account with him at the shop. We fix up his things at base price, no charge for labor and he helps Roger out for parts and other things needed. He has helped Riggs with getting some illegal gear in return for running a few jobs here and there.
