A brilliant freelance weapons designer, the man known only as Finger has spent the last few years working for Ares on various top-secret projects. Little is known about Finger except that he has a daughter, Jessica Ravenwing, whom he has had hidden away since she was two to protect her from the people he works for. One of his few friends in the sprawl is Joeli Gibson, a small-time fixer of some repute.

After Jessica was kidnapped by the Eliminators, a team of runners hired by Fingers extracted her and reunited the two of them, and they were last seen sailing off into the darkness of Puget Sound aboard his friend Joeli Gibson's yacht.
